Yemi Alade Becomes The First African Female Entertainer To Hit Over 1 Million YouTube Subscribers

Nigerian Afropop singer and songwriter, Yemi Eberechi Alade, simply known as Yemi Alade, is now the first African female artiste to reach over 1Million YouTube subscribers.

The self-acclaimed Mama Africa took to her Instagram page and shared the good news. Here is what she wrote:

1st female Entertainer in #Africa to have over #1MILLIONsubscribers on @YouTube . God is the GREATEST, started this journey six years ago. Thanks to everyone streaming / watching my videos and music. Godbless us all.

It is worthy to note that Yemi Alade  gained prominence after winning the Peak Talent Show in 2009, and is best known for her hit single “Johnny”.
