Naijazzy Wednesday Inspiration: Four Reasons To Follow Your Dreams

Naijazzy Wednesday Inspiration! We hear people say, “Follow your dreams”. But how many of us really do especially in Nigeria? We all have dreams but sometimes, it seems life gets so hectic and it feels like the dreams are not worth pursuing at all. Reality hits so hard and sometimes seems to knocks off our feet. So here are four reasons why to do so.

You realize that there are bills to pay and sometimes pursuing your dreams wouldn’t actually give you the financial security you need. And then you ask yourself, “Is this dream worth pursuing at all?”

So, you end up taking any job just to put food on the table and pay your bills. You start believing that your dreams are so silly and unrealistic.

But before you give up on that dream of yours, remember these four reasons why you shouldn’t give up-

  1. It will make you happy-

Not following your dreams would make life so depressing. There is something about following your dreams that fills you with this kind of happiness. Even though you are struggling, the fact that you are actually following your dreams would always be one reason to keep going.

2. It makes you live with no regrets-

When we live out life not doing what we love doing or what we are passionate about will ultimately lead to a sense of regret. We should all listen to that inner voice telling you to attain your goals.

3. You become a source of inspiration to others-

When you follow your dreams, it will give hope to others that they can still do same. You become an example to them and a reason why they should give their dreams a try. Nothing is more important than being an example of greatness, by simply following your heart.

4. You only live once-

You know what I think? Life is meant to be lived to the full and to follow our dreams. So why spend it doing something one is not passionate about?

I understand that following a dream may be really tough but remember that nothing good comes easy. Don’t be scared to follow your dreams.
