5. Olamide Adedeji
Popularly known by his stage name “Olamide Baddo or BaddoSneh”, Olamide is the top Nigerian rapper known for recording most of his songs in Yoruba, his native language. The gifted rapper began his music career in 2000 and in 2010, he released his hit song “Eni Duro” under the Coded Tunes record label. In 2011, the rapper was brought to limelight with his debut album, “Rapsodi”. His next album, “YBNL” was released in 2012 under his label imprint YBNL Nation.

Currently, Olamide is actually the first Nigerian rapper to be endorsed by Ciroc, the second ultra premium vodka brand in the world. The rapper has been nominated for several music awards and has equally won awards like Nigerian Entertainment Awards and the Headies Awards. According to Olamide, music is his life, his hustle and his world.
4. Jude Abaga
He is popularly known by his stage name “MI”. The rapper started his music career in 2003. His debut album “Safe” got him so many awards like Musician of the Year (Modemen Awards in 2008), Best Hip Hop Artist (City People Awards). In 2006, his song titled “Crowd Mentality” bringing him to limelight. The rapper is not CEO of the Chocolate city since 2015 but has also won the Best Hip Hop and Best New Act at the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards and in 2010, he was nominated in the Best International Act category at the BET Awards.

3. Babatunde Oludesun Adewale
The English- born Nigerian He is popularly known by his stage name Modenine. The rapper has won The Headies Lyricist on the Roll seven times. In 2014, he collaborated with Jamaican-American rapper, Canibus and released a song titled, “Super Human”. Recently, rap legend revealed that he is no longer interested in releasing music in Nigeria. This came after he released his latest album, “Insulin”.

2. Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike
The rapper is popularly known by his stage name, “Phyno”. Just like Olamide, Phyno is known for recording most of his songs in his native language, “Igbo”. Not only is he a rapper, he is also a songwriter, a producer and an actor. The legendary rapper kick-started his music career in 2003 and came to limelight after he released his debut album, “No Guts. No Glory”. His album, “Ghost Mode” won the best collabo at the 2012 Headies Awards. It is actually difficult to count the number of awards Phyno has won as he has won numerous awards including “Rap Artiste of the year”, “Man of the year” and many more.

- Panshak Zamani
He is popularly known by his stage name, “Ice Prince”. Aside the fact that he is a legendary rapper, he is also an actor. The rapper came to limelight after releasing his hit song “Oleku” in 2011. He is currently signed to Chocolate City and has won numerous awards including, the 2009 Hennessy Artistry Club Tour, BET Award. Twice, he won the Nigeria Entertainment Awards and three times he has taken home The Headies Award.
