Meet British-Nigerian Actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor Set To Play Villain In New Hollywood Action-Thriller

British-Nigerian actor Chiwetel Ejiofor has been billed to feature in Antoine Fuqua action-thriller titled “Infinite”.

The actor will be playing the role of a villain in this action thriller starring Mark Wahlberg Dylan O’Brien and Sophie Cookson.

Infinite, which is an adaptation of the 2009 novel The Reincarnationist Papers, tells the story of a group of men and women who are near immortals.

They have been reincarnated over the centuries called the Infinite. Ejiofor will play the role of Evan Michaels, an infinite, who suffers from schizophrenia and is haunted by his two past lives Michaels stumbles on a secret about a society of people like himself called the cognomina who possess total recall of their past lives.  The villain who is also an infinite has found a way to stop the reincarnation process and plans to use it on his kind.

According to reports, Infinite has been scheduled to begin shooting on September 30, in London and set for release on August 7, 2020.

It is worthy to note that Chiwetel Umeadi Ejiofor started his film career after was cast by Steven Spielberg to play a supporting role in the film Amistad in 1997 as James Covey.

After that, Ejiofor portrayed the characters Okwe in Dirty Pretty Things in 2002, and other numerous roles.  For 12 Years a Slave, he received Academy Award and Golden Globe Award nominations, along with the BAFTA Award for Best Actor. He was nominated for a 2014 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his performance on Dancing on the Edge.

Ejiofor has received numerous awards and nominations for acting, including the BAFTA Orange Rising Star Award in 2006, two Golden Globe Award nominations, and the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor for his performance in Othello in 2008. In 2008, he was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II for services to the arts. He was elevated to Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 2015 Birthday Honours.
